James Scribner, MD, MPH FACEP

James Scribner, MD, FACEP is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.  He graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University in Finance.  Dr. Scribner then attended medical school at Georgetown University and completed the pathway in complementary and alternative medicine.  After graduation, he studied Diagnostic Radiology and pursued human neuroimaging research at the University of Texas Health Science Center.   He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the John Peter Smith health network in Fort Worth, Texas.  During his residency he completed a masters in public health from the University of Florida with an emphasis in public health practice.  He subsequently was Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Louisiana State University Emergency Medicine residency in Baton Rouge and chair of the ultrasound section where he co-founded a fellowship in emergency medicine ultrasound.  He is a graduate of the American College of Emergency Physicians medical directors academy and ultrasound directors academies.  He has been the emergency department medical director at PeaceHealth Saint Joseph since January 2022.  Prior to that, he served as a medical director and Chief of Staff at Methodist Hospital South.  He has also been a founder and director of a freestanding emergency department, urgent care, and medical scribe company.  Dr. Scribner enjoys spending time with his wife, 2 sons and a very old chihuahua hiking, mountain biking and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
